8 weeks before your international move
Check your passport Make sure your passport is current and valid.

Check your credit You'll want to ensure no faulty records appear on your credit report prior to moving.
Lighten your load Get rid of unneeded items, either selling them at a garage sale or donating them to a charity.
Analyze your move Decide whether you'll be employing an international moving company or sending your possessions through international freight. Regardless, you're best served by getting a quote on an international move.
International moving insurance Since much can go wrong on an international move, consider purchasing international moving insurance.
Itemize your possessions If employing in international moving company were getting international moving insurance, you'll need an itemized list of your possessions and their approximate replacement values.
Plan for pet relocation Investigate whether your pet will need to be quarantined or whether they'll need to be vaccinated.
6 weeks before your international move
Gathered important documents Gather all your important documents including immunization records, naturalization papers, birth certificates, insurance documents and similar papers.
Speak with an accountant Your accountant will tell you what international moving expenses are tax deductible.
Speak with your place of business If your move is related to business, your employer may likely pick up part of your moving related expenses. Check with your human resources department for details.

Cancel monthly services Make a list of all your monthly services and make arrangements for the services to be canceled or shut up.

Vaccinations Make sure you have the proper vaccinations for your new location. Some vaccinations may be legally required before you can enter the country.
4 weeks before your international move
Contact utility companies Picture utility companies will shut off services at the proper time, I did close to your move date.
Make travel arrangements Making travel arrangements one month in advance will help ensure you get good airfares and low prices on hotels. Consider booking a hotel the night before your move, since your personal items will be packaged.
Your food supply Eat down your food inventories since you won't be taking them with you.
Change of address Begin contacting everyone who has your current address on file and notify them of your new address. If possible, leave your new address with your landlord or with the tenants of your previous property unit.
Change of address forms Fill out any official change of address forms, where necessary.
Start packing Start packing the little used items first, culminating in the items you use frequently such as kitchen and bathroom items.
1 to 2 weeks before your international move
Create backup files Create backup files of any importance computer records before packing your PC.
Close bank accounts Close any bank and financial accounts. Create a money order or have funds wired to your new account. Consider the loss you'll take given the exchange rate conversion.
Local currency Obtain local currency from your destination country.

The day of your international move
Care for your pet Find an isolated place for your pet to best ensure they do not get prematurely freaked out about your move. Pets have a lot of international travel at them in the coming days!
Final check of your residence Conduct a final check of your residence, making sure items are not left in cupboards, closets, the garage or other places.
Meet with your mover Meet with your international mover, making sure their inventory sheets are correct and to sign the bill of lading. If possible, accompanied the mover when your items are being weighed.
Secure your residence Lock your windows and doors. Leave your keys with the appropriate individual.
